Andrêa Ferreira

Senior Researcher

Nutritionist, PhD in Public Health by the Instituto de Saúde Coletiva with emphasis on Epidemiology. Master in Nutrition, Food and Health and Nutritionist at the School of Nutrition at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Associate Researcher at Cidacs/Fiocruz-Bahia where she studies Minha Casa, Minha Vida and Cardiovascular Diseases. Post-doc at the Ubuntu Center on Racism, Global Movements & Population Health Equity (Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health/USA). Former technical advisor of the National School Feeding Program by CECANE (Bahia) for the region of Bahia and Sergipe. Experience in research related to Nutritional Status, Food and Nutritional Insecurity in Cape Verde, Mozambique and Brazil, Aging, Chronic Diseases, and creation of Deprivation Indexes in Brazil.

Dandara Ramos

Associate Researcher

Adjunct Professor at the Instituto de Saúde Coletiva at UFBA. Epidemiologist, Psychologist, Master’s in Social Psychology (PPGPS-UERJ) and PhD in Collective Health from the Institute of Social Medicine of UERJ. Collaborator at the Center for Integration of Knowledge Data for Health (CIDACS-Fiocruz). Her main areas of research are child and adolescent health, policy impact assessment, developmental psychology and methodological advances in health research.

Daiane Batista de Jesus

Administrator, PhD in Administration at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Master in Development and Social Management (CIAGS/UFBA), Specialist in Innovation, Sustainability and Social Management (UniJorge). Specialist in Diversity and Inclusion. With more than 15 years of experience in third sector organizations. Research areas: Afro-entrepreneurship, social inequality and the labor market.

Geographer, PÓSGEO Doctoral Student at Fluminense Federal University. Master’s in Geography from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Researcher IYALETA - Research Sciences and Humanities. Associate Researcher at the Brazilian Association of Black Researchers (ABPN). He was professor and academic coordinator of the Lato Sensu Specialization State and Law of Traditional Peoples and Communities and the Lato Sensu Specialization Human Rights and Contemporaneity – UFBA/UAB/CAPES.

PhD in Public Health with concentration in Epidemiology (ISC/UFBA). Master in Nursing from the Federal University of Bahia. Member of the Racism and Health GT of the Brazilian Association of Public Health/ABRASCO. Associate Researcher at the Angela Davis Collective (UFRB). Researcher at the Program of Studies in Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases, Life and Aging Course – Elsa/Brasil (ISC/UFBA).

Gabriela Gaia

Associate Researcher

Teacher at the Faculty of Architecture at UFBA and at PPGAU/UFBA. Architect and urban planner from UFES, Master and PhD from PPGPAU/FAUFBA, where she integrates the Lugar Comum Research Groups and Estudos do Corpo, Discurso e Território Study Group. Research on narratives, histories and memories of the city and its erasures, mobilized by the ethnic-racial and gender debate. She is a member of the Terra Preta Cidade Collective and counselor of Casa Sueli Carneiro. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at PPGAU/UFES.

Júlio Rocha

Associate Researcher

Graduated in Law from the Federal University of Bahia (1992), Master in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1997), Doctorate in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2001) and Doctorate in Sandwich Doctorate - Tulane University (2000 ). Post-doctorate in Anthropology from UFBA (2012). He is currently Director of the UFBA Law School (2021-2025). Current Professor/Vice Coordinator of DINTER (Interinstitutional Doctorate) with the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) Faculdade Pio X, Faculdade FANESE and UNIRIOS. He was deputy dean of the Faculty of Law (2013-2017).

Leonildo da Silva

Bachelor in Nursing and Licentiate in Biological Sciences from the University of Pernambuco. Specialist in Women's Health by the Integrated Multiprofessional Residency program in Health, Hospital das Clínicas, UFE. Master in Nursing in the line of research Women, Gender and Health from the School of Nursing at UFBA. He was part of the State Committee for Studies on Maternal Mortality between 2013-2020. He is a PhD candidate in Public Health at the UFBA Institute of Collective Health in the Integrated Program for Research and Technical Cooperation in Gender and Health - Musa. Nurse Obstetrician Leader of the Obstetric Center of the Climério de Oliveira Maternity - UFBA since 2021.

Rutte Andrade

Adjunct Teacher at the Institute of Humanities and Letters (IHL) at the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony - UNILAB, Campus dos Malês. Lecturer in the Degree in Pedagogy and Interdisciplinary Bachelor in Humanities at UNILAB. Lecturer in the Post-Graduate/Master's Course in Pedagogy and Graduation in Education Sciences, at the University of Santiago in Cape Verde. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences, from the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences - FFCH, from the Federal University of Bahia, 2018; Master in Social Sciences from the Public University of Cape Verde, 2013; and Degree in Philosophy Teaching from Instituto Superior de Educação, (Cape Verde) 2008. Coordinator of the Study and Research Group on African Philosophy and Educational Processes in Africa and its diasporas (CNPq/UNILAB).

Graduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Pará, Master's in Public Health from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, PhD student at the Pharmaceutical Sciences Program - UFRJ, member of the Institute of Black Women of Amapá - IMENA, researcher at the Institute of Scientific and Technological Research of the State of Amapá (IEPA) in the area of medicinal plants, ethnopharmacology, pharmaceutical technology of herbal medicines, quality control of plant raw materials and public health.

Diogo Sousa

CAPES-PROEX Scholarship, CAPES Print. Souza is a lead consultant on the “Strengthening Black, Gay-Led Organizations in Brazil - Colombia” project by Global Black Gay Men Connect. He is a clinical psychologist and health specialist. Specialist in Gender and Sexualities by the Latin American Center on Sexualities and Human Rights, University of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Ellen Monielle

Graduated in International Relations from Potiguar University and she is a master’s student in Public Management and International Cooperation from Federal University of Paraíba. She focused her studies on ecological, food and Amazonian issues, and her master's dissertation project is related to indigenous diplomacy, climate change and Conference of Parts.

He has experience in research in the areas of Human Rights, Urban Law and Environmental Law, working mainly on the following topics: Right to Housing, Special Zones of Social Interest, Environment and Environmental Protection Areas.

Juliana Dias

Journalist graduated from the Centro Universitário Social da Bahia. Among her experiences, it is highlighted her work as coordinator of community projects at the Instituto Mídia Étnica, as a reporter for the newspapers Ìrohìn and A Tarde, and as a media consultant for public and private bodies, in addition to her performance as a social media analyst. She won two journalism awards from Banco do Nordeste in 2010. She is a music researcher and producer at Rádio Educadora FM. Areas: cultural identities, communication and blackness.
