Call to action: ↓ 1.5°C Zer0 Inequalities

“↓ 1.5°C and Zer0 Inequalities” is a call to action from IYALETA – Research, Sciences and Humanities to Parties and national and subnational governments responsible for the effectiveness of the Adaptation Fund, the National Adaptation Plans, and the approval of Loss and Damage regulation mechanisms, as signed in the Paris Agreement – United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In an intersectional way, we seek the Nationally Determined Contributions – NDC (2025 and 2030), in addition to reducing GHG emissions, eliminate racial, ethnic, gender, generation, and social inequalities in the territories and cities of the Global South; a humanitarian care for Planet 2050.

“With this call to action, in 2022, we confluence with societies, researchers, activists, and global movements at the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27) from November 9 to 17 in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt). For the approval of real commitments from developed and developing nations, with the state of vulnerability that people are, taking into account the impacts and effects of extreme weather events on a planetary scale”, highlights the scientific coordination of the Iyaleta Research Association, formed by researchers Andrêa Ferreira, Diosmar Filho, and Emanuelle Góes.
