Panel "Loss and Damage and Territorial Impacts" at COP27

The Panel “Losses and Damages and Territorial Impacts”, held on November 11, 2022, at the Brazil Climate Action Hub, at COP27 (Egypt), coordinated by Iyaleta, with mediation by researcher Andrêa Ferreira. The exhibiting organizations of this panel are: Iyaleta Research Association, CONAQ, Marielle Franco Institute (IMF), Conectas Human Rights and OXFAM Brazil. The panelists are: Julia Neiva from Conectas Human Rights; Edel Moraes of the National Council of Extractivists; Emanuelle Góes of the Iyaleta Research Association; Sandra Pereira Braga from CONAQ. On the occasion, the call for action “↓1.5°C and Inequalities Zer0” was launched, an initiative by Iyaleta to the Parties and national and subnational governments, responsible for the effectiveness of the Adaptation Fund, the National Adaptation Plans and for the approval of the loss and damage regulation mechanisms, as signed in the Paris Agreement – ​​United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
